Notice of elevator annual testing Affected location(s): Earth Sciences Centre (062) Affected elevator(s):: Freight Elevator #5 at Russell St Entrance & Elevator #2 Forestry-33Wilcock Service period: Thursday, Jun. 11, 2026, 7 AM–4 PM What is being done and why? The Ontario’s Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) has requested that the Freight Elevator #5 at Russell St entrance and Elevator #2 Forestry 33Wilcock entrance have testing completed to ensure passenger safety. This test typically takes 2-4 hours to complete and will take place between 7 AM and 3 PM. Only 1 of these 2 elevators will be tested at a time, the other will remain in service. If additional maintenance or repairs are required after the test, a separate service alert will be issued. How will it impact building occupants?
